Michael
Graves is a world-renowned American architect. One of the 'New York
Five' and a Princeton University Professor, Michael Graves has designed
many landmark buildings and iconic household items such as the Swan and
Dolphin resorts at Disney World, Newark Museum, Portland Building, the
Humana Building and the Alessi kettle with the singing bird to name but
a few.
The
Witherspoon Watch Collection has been inspired by one of his latest
creations - the Paul Robeson Center for the Arts on Witherspoon Street,
Princeton, New Jersey. Like the building, the Witherspoon Watches are
bold in their use of colour and scale. The Witherspoon watches evoke the
rich tones of the building’s blue and rust colour bricks as well as the
bold vistas of the town’s centre.
